Intro to the MSM Nomad Star Tracker

Live Online Event

Learn How to Capture Sharp, Low-Noise Milky Way Images

July is peak Milky Way season, but blurry stars and noisy images stop many photographers from getting the results they want.

In this live online demonstration, you’ll learn how to use the ultra-portable Move Shoot Move (MSM) Nomad Star Tracker to create stunning nighttime images with pin-sharp stars and dramatically reduced noise.

Whether you’re new to star trackers or have struggled with alignment in the past, this session will show you a simple workflow that anyone can follow.

What You’ll Learn. Why Use a Star Tracker?

Discover how the MSM Nomad compensates for Earth’s rotation, allowing exposures up to three minutes while maintaining sharp stars and using lower ISO settings. This is about 30 minutes long and will have additional time for questions if needed.

Simple Polar Alignment Without a Laser

I’ll demonstrate how to accurately align the Nomad using nothing more than your smartphone and the PS Align Pro app.

Capture Cleaner Images

Longer exposures and lower ISO settings mean:

  • Sharper stars
  • Less digital noise
  • Richer Milky Way detail
  • Better image quality straight out of the camera
